Fire.

My mom says she can see the Simi Valley fire from my bedroom window at home. She's asking me what I want packed, in case they have to leave home. I told her not to forget the dog.

The Southern California fires are wreaking havoc, and I'm worrying like crazy up here, unable to do anything. Did you know that the fire and smoke is visible from space? The satellites have taken pictures of the smoke.

Stupid people. Stupid arsonists. I hope it is contained soon, really soon. Blah.
