this "holiday" always makes me laugh. not that the idea of sharing/professing/rejecting love is necessarily a bad thing, but that there is ONE day of the year to do it all, people. :P why should this day be any different than any other day? bet the card companies were like, "oh hey, there's nothing between new years and easter...lets make some shit up."
another reason to laugh: guys looking/feeling ridiculous buying flowers and candy. but mostly flowers. all yesterday, the flower stands were crowded with guys, buying flowers for their sig others. big, tough guys. looking sheepish. always good for a laugh. and then some think bigger is better...they are sadly mistaken, in my opinion. that hideous, beribboned vase/bucket of flowers is a tad showy...smaller, single-r flowers are much more tasteful. besides, that way she can carry them through the day and feel special, so you get extra brownie points, fellas, for giving her prolonged happiness. those big things just sit in her house and no one else can appreciate them/feel jealous. this is GOLD, fellas. take notes. sort of the "if a tree falls" mentality: if no one can see your efforts, you might as well not waste your time.
really, berkeley had the right idea when they started national condom day/week. cuz that's all this holiday is for a lot of people, anyway. an excuse to f*ck like bunnies in celebration of a moot and, frankly, silly holiday from a loved one/sucker some non-loved one into giving you some ass. nothing wrong with ass. so long as its mutual ass and everyone is on the same page.
also fun to watch the flocks of girls go crazy over flavored condoms given out on sproul. the guys could care less about flavors. so long as the girls do, right? :P i still remember these two girls arguing about which one was the best, and trying to trade each other for certain flavors. grape and banana are less coveted, while peach is a crowd favorite. either these girls are hos, or they're just avid condom collectors.
anyway, my plans today are to get dinner with nols(??) and then studio. my valentines shall include my zapagap and dremel, 2 loves of my life. who can say i'm not a diehard romantic...?
