goodness. its been awhile, huh?

anyway, let's see. school finished up, finals happened, blah blah blah.

-----

fsu bonding. :) made our FSU shirts, had some ddr, some rent singing, lots of pizza (we're probabl the fattiest committee), and finally, some absinth (tsk tsk, i know). man, that burned. but now i can say i did something naughty in the us.

-----

vegas bowl!!! left the night after my last final at 10pm on the 19th. procured a double seat and then slept pretty much the whole way there. ate mcdonald's for breakfast at 5am for the first time. its not as rancid as i thought.

got to the embassy suites hotel...there were swans in the lobby! very cool. my only beef with the hotel was that there were only 3 elevators and no access to stairs on the first floor.

practice. constructed the tower for the last few times. ::sniff:: only 5 cymbals got to go, and i was the only line 2. therefore, i was the shortest. i never like being the shortest.

fremont street experience. not so much an experience, but okay. still a fun battle of the bands. byu, props to your drumline. i really wish the rest of our cyms had polished. oy. but anyway, best part was that they have male cheerleaders who can lift these 80 pound girls with one hand for long periods of time. then our football team started mocking them by lifting each other, haha. then our band started lifting people. it was great stupidness.

strip afterwards. buffet til i burst. then a lot of walking. nols and i went off on our own cuz a large group is just too slow for me. taxiis are pretty cheap when you have a larger group. the drivers are hilarious, too.

performance and practice the next day. really starting a love/hate relationship with the show. but then, learning it in 2 days isn't easy.

that night, nols and i got to skip the rally. :) went to the venetian to see...BLUE MAN GROUP!!! i've only been looking forward to it for 6 years. it was fan nols liked it too. i'll have to see it again. after, went with tenors for their gift exchange and stuff. i really wish we had more early free time. everything is always closing/closed when we finally get a chance to go to the strip.

the game. oh, the game. of course, our seats stunk, in the corner. i pulled rank and moved to the outside to see. got elbowed in the face by dylan as he was diving for a tshirt. at least he caught it. i ended up with 2, so whatever. the show went over really well, even though it was somewhat sloppy. we made up for it by sounding awesome. oh, and we won. so yay!

afterwards, i ended up losing money. boo. but i learned how to play craps and saw a bunch of my favorite old people. i'm going to miss you SOOOOO much, brad!!! i'll try and visit this summer. with nols, hopefully.

then bussing back. switched busses, but still slept in my own double seat. fantastic. slept the whole time and way. good trip. :)

home! good food, fun presents. a bit crowded, though. some relatives were over, and our new house is only 3 bedrooms. anyway, i got a LOT of money and some pretty earrings and lobster pjs and clothing. bought this birght orange bag for $5. awesome. i love home food. came back to berkeley for new years though, and went to the city. happy new years!!

finally, today i went shopping in the city. i love sales.

tomorrow = target trip. yay! target is awesome. and bead stores for jewelry stuff. and thrift stores for old crap to make pretty. pretty much, trying to stay occupied.
