whoa. how is it math majors are predominantly greasy, glasses-wearing, sometimes stinky, uber-dorky, and male? i FINALLY have a cool math gsi. after all these years at Cal, he only fits one of the above comments. male. let's hear it for 16b...less serious math apparently calls for less nerdy math gsis.

yeah. so all i need to do is pass this class to graduate. go me for putting it off. go me even more for signing up for an 8am. this will ultimately turn out to be a good thing, or a very, very, bad thing.

this has to be the coolest (temp-wise) summer here i've ever experienced. unfortunately, being so cool out, my legs have suffered. they are pasty. gross. i have now invested in self-tanners, as i can not stand looking down anymore. now i'm a little streaky and a little orange...i think i hastily ODed on the tanning cream. oops. i guess the only way to fix the streaks is to apply more...and the only way to get rid of the orange is to exfoliate? this may be a losing battle here, folks.

but at least i'm not pasty.

4th of july. go america. sausalito, or no sausalito? i remember redwood city. hot as chili peppers there, and got burned, but had some good times playing with stacey. recently realized that i'm old. no doubts. and i've done a lot of band.

whenever i go somewhere, anywhere it seems, i can remember performing there and what songs we played. cable cars, pier 39, 6 flags marine world, random hotels and buildings, even entire cities like dallas and vegas have been tainted with bittersweet memories. but hey, no regrets.

speaking of band (again), its almost over. this sucks. i feel like i have to cross that threshold to adulthood by leaving all the noisemaking of my school years. i mean, really, when can you play percussion (be it mallets or plates) on your own?

next year, i'll be FAing. not because i'm ridiculously attached to the band, but because i am poor and i don't have season tickets. also, FSU was one of the highlights of my band experience and it'd be nice to work with these people again. besides, there's not many people who know how saturdays are supposed to be run. :) i hope some of the other old FA farts stick around, rather than a whole group of new people. oh, and there are perks. being able to go on the field, see people again, not having to do much to get into the game, and not having to wear a uniform.

its sad when you listen to a song on your ipod and you find yourself clapping out your part. its even sadder when you do it in public and people look at you like you're crazy.

enough band. calso is funny. you can always tell which kiddies aren't from around here. they are the ones wearing jeans and a tshirt and no jacket, freezing their butts off at 8am while walking around southside. its cold here, kiddies! weather.com can be your best friend.
