so cal day/picnic day. i guess the only thing i didn't enjoy was having to wake up for the 8am shb. it looked like a lot of the new students didn't look happy either...bet their parents dragged them there.

i love this DA squad. its a good group of ppl. makes me wish we did more stuff together when i was DA 2 years ago (shiiieet. that was awhile ago). cafe durant was cool and i love my neighbor is hecka funny, with the right ppl. it can also get violent.

got a buncha free stuff at the RSF. yay for decks of BofA cards.

@ Davis. my first good weather picnic day. there were hella ppl. we ended up dragging a few extra perc instruments, since we weren't sure who was gonna be where when. good thing we brought the extra snare, as brian busted a head during beginnings. we were flanked by ucsd and irvine pep bands. irvine had a wicked trumpet player. i liked both groups, they were fun and they had a good sound.

the other bands were also smart and brought stuff to get out from under the sun. i foolishly missed some spots on my chest, so i'm a lil pink.

brought a bbq and stuff to relax with. glad we did, as beginnings and louie louie went on forever. about a half hour for each. it was interesting, letting us drink. i'm glad to say that no one disgraced the cal band. like the ucsd-er who hella fell in to the river. haha.

we actually stayed to the end for once. amazing. but hard to read music in the dark.

i think one thing i'm going to take away from this picnic day is how much i'm going to miss old ppl, like brian. shit. i can't imagine band without some of those folks.
