well these past few days have been a whirlwind.
Pac-10 was fun even though we lost. first night, went to the pantry with julie, noli, and darren after wandering all over trying to see if there was anywhere else to eat. we were unsuccessful. after eating way too much grease, we walked to find some bevvies. finally found some at a gas station forever and away from the hotel. ended up spending the rest of the night chillin' in the room watching late night talk stuff, since we didn't get there til 11:30 and finally got back to the hotel at around 2:30.
noli and i got up at around 9 am then and ran to the corner bakery. so nice to eat a breakfast without all the greasiness of the previous night's dinner. call time at 11:30, so we did the game thing then. got our stuff, got to play, got to lose, just the norm, i guess. pretty cool cuz i was on the big screen a few times. pretty sad that we were mostly percussion. but yeah. it was all good.
since we lost, we had a flight at 9 pm to head on back home, but call time wasn't til 6. took a nice long hot shower and then walked all over the freakin' city again. highlights of that walk: getting a silly picture of noli wrestling a bear for a fish (a statue) and meandering through the Marriott, where the team was staying. that was cool cuz the whole UDub bball team was chillin' in the lobby and we took 2 of the pac life pac-10 window logos (one for my apt, another for nolis). saw so many bball players and noli was athlete-struck (you know, like star-struck but with athletes).
and then we flew home. and slept forever.
things that made PAc-10 fun: having a double room instead of being with a whole bunch of ppl. i could thus shower as long as i wanted to.
free stuff. like pins. and money. cuz money is cool.
a chance to just get AWAY from school.
and today--MARINE WORLD, BABY!
which was amazing. did a ridiculous amount of playing, but it was all in good fun. after all that, noli, jeff, shantal, nitz, rudi, robert, some other random ppl, and i went around the park. i actually didn't ride anything, since i wasn't into it, but that was fine cuz i didn't have to pay squat. yay.
saw the shouka and the dolphin show, ended up spending most of the time at the walrus tank (OY), ate lots of junk (well not that much...got some roasted corn, yay), and won a hedgehog for nothing. jeff won a big bird, a carebear (which i got then and then gave to noli, since it is his twin :P) , and 5 hedgehogs. but yeah. more fun. food there is priced way too high though. yuck.
and then i came home again. and did reading. since i'm going to the scharffen berger factory tour thing tomorrow with noli's bear family!! yay! and the funness ensues.
